Capezzana is among the oldest wine estates in Tuscany that has been producing wine in Carmignano since 804 A.D. Today, the estate is owned and run by the Contini Bonacossi family. Capezzana owns more than 30,000 olive trees planted over 140 hectares on their estate. Once picked, the olives are pressed within 12 hours resulting in a fresher fruitier olive oil. The oil is then settled in a mixture of terracotta orci (urns) and stainless steel vats before bottling.
